Software simulations are a great way to help your learners learn your software, without you having to walk them through the process again and again. They are accessible anywhere and at any time, so no one ever has to wait on a teacher to be free before they can finish their work.
Software simulations can be true simulations, where you watch the program in action, like this sample of how to add animations to a PowerPoint presentation. In this sample, I created a simple PowerPoint, made it into a screen capture video, and added narration (that’s my voice).
Having a simulation guiding users through more complex software can be a huge bonus for an organization, like this Electronic Health Records sample.
Software simulations can also be more interactive. In these simulations, learners are guided through a manipulation of the software.
